Soda, that light bubbly drink that readily quenches your thirst and keeps you company during endless nights of watching TV, is the considered as one of the biggest culprits for obesity.

In a study conducted by the UCLA Center for Health Policy Research, it has been shown that there is a strong connection between weight gain and increased soda consumption.  It has been shown in this study that those who consume one or more cans of this thirst-quenching drink is twenty-seven percent more prone to be overweight compared to their non-soda-drinking counterparts.  Furthermore, this study has mentioned that for the past thirty years, drinking sodas has caused a forty-three percent increase in caloric consumption in those people who habitually drink them.  This result is being supported by another study published in the 2009 issue of the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition that shows that reducing soda intake can result in significant weight loss among adult consumers.

Thus, if you want to get rid of your extra bulges and fats, why not start your diet right by shying away from sodas? Keep your hands off from that can of soda. Remember, having a better self control in your daily activities and food intake is the key for significant weight loss.
